This internship experience will be with the Public Health Emergency Preparedness Division of the Metro (Nashville) Public Health Department.
Time Commitment: This internship will be May 1, 2018 thru June 30, 2018. It is reasonably expected that the intern will dedicate 40 hours per week to support the project.
To maximize the internship experience, the internship duties will include:
Developing Emergency Preparedness online/web-based training tools for both internal and external audiences on various preparedness-themed topics.
Assisting with the research, data mining and data entry for annual Medical Countermeasure Operational Readiness Review. This technical review focuses on the programís anthrax response capability and preparedness level.
Attending community outreach events, focusing on preparedness education and volunteer recruitment.
Providing support as needed to public health outbreak investigations.
Other project support as needed.
