Work in Metro Nashville/Davidson County Schools on a PRN basis; perform skilled nursing procedures and generalized health services; implement medication distribution system; and maintain student health records.
Bachelorís degree from a state approved school of nursing; or Bachelorís degree in another discipline and a Masterís degree from a state approved school of nursing preferred.
Diploma or Associates Degree in nursing combined with a documented ability to competently perform all functions of this classification may be considered. All public health nurses are required to complete a department approved Certificate in Public Health as a condition of continued employment.

Pediatric/special needs experience required.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
Valid class ďDĒ driverís license, use of personal vehicle, and maintenance of valid personal vehicle insurance as required by Tennessee Law.
