Provide nursing services in Metro Nashville / Davidson County Schools. Evaluate the health needs in assigned schools. Provide effective skilled nursing services. Provide or arrange for selected screenings and assessments. Provide care coordination/case management. Provide generalized health services. Implement medication distribution system. Maintain student health records. Performs related duties.
Bachelorís degree from a state approved school of nursing; or Bachelorís degree in another discipline and a Masterís degree from a state approved school of nursing preferred. Diploma or Associates Degree in nursing combined with a documented ability to competently perform all functions of this classification may be considered.
All public health nurses are required to complete a department approved Certificate in Public Health as a condition of continued employment.
Candidates with accreditations earned in a foreign institute are encouraged to apply.
Licensed or eligible for licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of Tennessee.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Certification.
Valid class ďDĒ driverís license, use of personal vehicle, and maintenance of valid personal vehicle insurance as required by Tennessee Law.
